Position: ABA Paraprofessional
The ABA Paraprofessional will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide direct behavioral interventions and support to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Responsibilities:
Direct Student Support:
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as prescribed by the BCBA.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction as needed.
- Assist with daily living skills, such as eating, toileting, and hygiene.
- Implement behavior reduction strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Collect data on student behavior and performance to inform treatment decisions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with BCBA, teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and other relevant meetings.
- Collaborate with the BCBA to develop and modify behavior intervention plans as needed.
Professionalism and Ethics:
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards students and staff.
Qualifications
- ABA Certificate
- Minimum of 48 college credits from an accredited college or university or passing the state paraprofessional exam
- Current and active criminal background check
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
- Willingness to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and changing diapers
License/Certification:
- ABA Certificate (required)

- Bridgeton, NJ 08302 (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Bridgeton, NJ 08302: Relocate before starting work (Required)
