At Samsung SDS America, we take the most advanced concepts in Cloud and AI and turn them into scalable, real-world enterprise solutions.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate or Graduate program (Graduation date: 2026 or 2027).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
  • Able to commit to a 10-week, 40-hour/week program starting June 8th, 2026.
  • Ability to commute to our Ridgefield Park, NJ office at least 3 days per week.

Position Summary:

Curious about how ideas become functional business products that address customer needs? You’ll gain hands-on experience working through the full lifecycle of prototype development from evaluating concepts and selecting software components and modules, integrating software, and iterating based on test results.

As an intern, you’ll learn earn how accelerators and prototypes, SDSA consultants and customer resources come together to form complete solutions, develop confidence using industry‑standard lab tools, and practice documenting their work with clarity and precision. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and solution architects, gaining insight into how customer requirements shape technical decisions and how prototypes evolve into compelling demonstrations.

Responsibilities:

  • You will create and manage lab environments for solution prototyping.
  • You’ll help build "accelerators"—the building blocks that allow us to move faster. You’ll evaluate concepts, select software components, integrate them, and iterate based on what the test results tell us.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with Engineers and Solution Architects to see how high-level customer requirements shape specific technical decisions.
  • You will diagnose issues in data flow, connectivity, or prototype logic. When a sensor isn't talking to the cloud, you'll be the one figuring out why.
  • Beyond the lab, you’ll support various corporate strategy initiatives, gaining a bird’s-eye view of how our technical work impacts the company's long-term goals.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of how business processes operate in industries like pharma (compliance workflows), retail (store operations, customer experience), and BFSI (transaction flows, authentication, insurance claims).
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical teams
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar) used to build quick functional prototypes.
  • Ability to follow technical documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Comfort working with cloud connected devices, APIs, and data ingestion pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues in data flow, connectivity, or prototype logic.
  • Ability to document prototype steps, configurations, and test results clearly for cross functional teams.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn domain specific constraints such as data privacy, auditability, and regulatory considerations.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Terraform)
  • Ability to work hands on with digital solution components such as sensors, edge devices, data collectors, software components and integration modules.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hands on Technical Work: Ability to set up and work with sensors, edge devices, data collectors, and integration components.
  • Scripting & Prototyping: Basic programming or automation skills (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash) to build and test simple prototypes.
  • Cloud & Connectivity: Comfort connecting devices to cloud services, working with APIs, and handling basic data flow pipelines.
  • Troubleshooting & Documentation: Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and clearly document configurations, steps, and test results.
  • Business & Compliance Awareness: Curiosity to learn industry workflows (pharma, retail, BFSI) and understand constraints like privacy, auditability, and regulatory requirements.

The Details

  • Start Date: June 8th, 2026 (10-week summer intensive).
  • Commitment: 40 hours/week.
  • Hybrid Life: Minimum 3 days onsite (experience the culture in person!).
