Job Overview :

The X-ray Technologist of RWJBH Orthopedics performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians and APP's in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. The X-ray Technologist ensures quality imaging, radiation safety, and efficient workflow in the clinic.

Qualifications :

Required :

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Preferred :

• Orthopedic or outpatient ambulatory experience strongly
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• New graduates from accredited programs will be considered with demonstrated clinical competence

Certifications and Licenses Required :

• AART
• NJ Radiologic Technologist License

Scheduling Requirements :

• 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Monday - Friday
• Full-Time

Essential Functions :

• Operate digital X-ray equipment and associated PACS and EHR systems
• Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory standards
• Maintain appropriate inventory of imaging supplies and report equipment malfunctions promptly
• Position patient correctly to obtain optimal images which maintain the patient's comfort and safety
• Support daily clinic flow, assist with patient transport, and contribute to team-based care activities as needed
• Perform routine and specialized radiographic exams according to physician orders and established protocols
• Verify patient identity and imaging orders prior to the exam, document procedures accurately in medical record
• Other duties as assigned
