Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol Reporting Specialist in Jersey City, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while contributing to a reliable and innovative environment.

- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in an educational setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and activity across the location, assisting with visitor directions, policy awareness, and reporting of suspicious behavior and/or security-related concerns.
- Support daily campus operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and communicating professionally with students, employees, and visitors regarding security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
