As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in expanding our IT and Low Voltage business by developing new client relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering technology solutions that solve real business challenges.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to grow our market presence in IT services and Low Voltage systems. This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and guiding clients through the entire sales process—from initial outreach to project handoff.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry events.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline across IT and Low Voltage markets.
Sales Cycle Management
- Manage the complete sales process from lead generation through contract execution.
- Conduct discovery meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations tailored to client needs.
- Negotiate proposals and close new business opportunities.
Technical Solution Consulting
- Perform site assessments and walk-throughs to understand customer requirements.
- Review plans and specifications to identify technology needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Proposal Development & Estimating
- Prepare accurate proposals, project estimates, and bid submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure solutions are competitive, profitable, and aligned with customer expectations.
Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact throughout the sales process.
- Develop long-term relationships with general contractors, consultants, property managers, business owners, and end users.
Industry & Product Expertise
- Stay informed on emerging IT, security, access control, surveillance, structured cabling, and communications technologies.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new opportunities.
Account Growth
- Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through additional services, upgrades, and technology enhancements.
- Help clients improve operational efficiency, security, and business performance through strategic technology investments.

Compensation
- Base Salary: Competitive salary plus commission based on experience
Schedule
- This is a Full-Time, Exempt position requiring flexibility to meet client needs. The employees are expected to manage their time and schedule to meet the demands of the role, often exceeding 40 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS
· Experience: Proven experience as a Sales/Business Development Representative, successful as a Hunter, specifically within IT infrastructure. MSP a plus.
· Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of IT and familiar with Low Voltage Systems.
· Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Tools: Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite to maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline progress.
· Education: High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
· Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license for traveling to customer sites.
· Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
