What impact you'll make As a member of the Maintenance team, you will be an active contributor to the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) objectives of the company. The Maintenance Material Resource Buyer will manage the flow of Spare Parts to a manufacturing cell or area. As an Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Planner/Buyer, ensure availability of all required materials to perform preventative and reactive Maintenance and that all transactions are properly executed in the systems (ERP / CMMS). In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and can affect short-term and some long-term business goals.

What you'll do

• Research, identify, and place Purchase Orders (PO's) for critical spare parts and other maintenance items.
• Obtain quotes and item specifications to ensure appropriate items are purchased while remaining cost competitive and meeting quality and performance.
• Expedite orders as required which necessitates coordination with suppliers for delivery of material both domestic and internationally. (GE Vernova routing center, Fed Ex, UPS, DHL).
• Troubleshoot and correct supplier issues including working with suppliers to rectify any damaged or incorrect shipments and invoicing and payment issues.
• Coordinate returns to suppliers as needed.
• Complete receiving transactions for indirect material orders.
• Maintain inventory data to ensure correct identification of tools, suppliers and spare parts.
• Manage inventory to ensure accuracy and proactively resolve discrepancies.
• Be responsible for inventory management for assigned parts and processes required to ensure material input to support maintenance requirements.

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's Degree from and accredited university or college and Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following: Equipment Manufacturing, Maintenance, Materials, Inventory Management and Warehouse Modules (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in one or more of the following: Equipment Manufacturing, Maintenance, Materials, Inventory Management and Warehouse Modules.

Eligibility Requirements:

• This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees)). GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
• Ability to lift/carry parts to/from storage locations

What will make you stand out

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, Supply Chain or related fields.
• Computer literate with the ability to learn various inventory control systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office products such as Excel.
• Experience working with modern ERP: L2L, Maximo, SAP platform
• You have an understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical principals and components.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of MRO and machine spare parts in a plant environment.
• Self-directed/Self-starter and ability to manage changing/conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and vendors.

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this position is $98 ,000- $131,000 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.

• The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
