Wound Treatment Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Treatment Nurse to join our team at Atlas Rehabilitation and Healthcare at Daughters of Miriam Campus. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality wound care to our residents, while also supervising and guiding our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other nursing personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including wound treatment and care planning

• Supervise and guide CNAs and other nursing personnel to ensure high-quality care and adherence to facility policies and procedures

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of CNAs and other nursing personnel, providing education and counseling as necessary

• Conduct disciplinary actions and complete performance evaluations as required

• Participate in quality assurance programs and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with other resident services to ensure comprehensive care

• Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents

• Provide information to the Billing Office and complete medical forms, reports, and evaluations as necessary

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or graduate from an approved LPN/RN program

• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LPN in this state

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served

• Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the general public

• Basic computer knowledge

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as necessary
