Hours: M-F some flex w start (8-5) Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a regulated environment, including supervisory roles
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting experience on HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressed air, WFI, and clean steam systems
  • Solid understanding of cGMP and FDA compliance requirements in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical settin
  • Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and prioritize work based on business needs
  • Experience using CMMS (e.g., B.M.R.A.M.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, P&IDs, and SOPs
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and facility safety protocols
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and respond to emergency maintenance needs

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations and personnel including hands-on support, equipment repair and upkeep, facility maintenance, and compliance with cGMP and safety regulations. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, team leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional departments including Production, Quality Assurance/Control, and Engineering.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities and assign tasks to technicians based on priority and business needs.
  • Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing, utility, and facility equipment.
  • Monitor team performance, ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, and provide training as needed.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established protocols.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns or service calls and perform root cause analysis on equipment failures.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot critical systems including HVAC, compressed air, boilers, chillers, WFI, and clean steam.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all equipment and maintenance activity. Facility & Equipment Compliance
  • Ensure facility and equipment maintenance aligns with cGMP, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Participate in audits and inspections and ensure maintenance documentation is readily available and complete.
  • Ensure all tools and calibration equipment are in good working order and properly maintained. Cross-Department Coordination
  • Serve as the main point of contact for maintenance-related issues impacting production and QA/QC operations, production and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Validation teams for equipment installation, qualification, and improvement projects.
  • Support project planning and execution for facility upgrades and new equipment commissioning.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout, and facility safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and asset management tracking.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, technical manuals, and SOPs.
