CNC Machinist – Custom Shop

Location: Lakewood, NJ

Type: Full-Time | Contract to Hire

Weekly Pay

Shift & Pay

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $23–$30/hour (based on experience)
• Consistent schedule – no weekends

This is a family-owned and operated custom machine shop specializing in stainless steel and other metals. The shop focuses on precision, craftsmanship, and long-term employee retention, offering a stable environment where skilled machinists are valued and trusted to do quality work.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills per work orders and blueprints
• Edit and adjust programs as needed to meet part specifications
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools and gauges
• Manage tooling, setups, and program documentation
• Work closely with other shop personnel to maintain workflow and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a job shop environment
• Strong experience with CNC setup, operation, and program editing
• Ability to write or modify programs using G & M code and/or CAD/CAM software
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
• Experience machining stainless steel and various metals

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
