Lead Infrastructure Engineer (IBM MQ)
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join the Middleware Engineering team within the Chief Technology Office (CTO), supporting the Enterprise IBM MQ platform. This role is critical in shaping the next-generation MQ infrastructure for the enterprise.
As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building a standardized, scalable, and resilient MQ platform. You’ll bring a strategic engineering mindset and deep experience in managing complex enterprise infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate with other infrastructure teams to architect the platform and empower operations teams by developing robust tooling and automation.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
Engineer enterprise scale IBM MQ infrastructure with focus on standards, security, scalability and resiliency
Mentor junior members of the team
Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendors
Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements
Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with customer and vendor
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of IBM MQ experience
2+ years of scripting experience
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years building and managing enterprise MQ infrastructure.
4+ years of Python experience
4+ years in provisioning infrastructure through automation.
2+ years of Ansible experience
2+ years of Grafana experience
Working knowledge Prometheus experience
Woking Linux experience
Experience mentoring more junior team members

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00Benefits
