Warehouse Manager

Position Overview

Haddad Plumbing & Heating Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse, yard, and delivery operations at our Newark headquarters. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials, equipment, and deliveries that support multiple active commercial plumbing and HVAC construction projects throughout New Jersey, New York City, and Westchester County.

The Warehouse Manager will oversee inventory management, receiving, material distribution, fleet readiness, logistics coordination, and warehouse personnel while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive operation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, warehouse management experience, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

This position reports directly to the President and plays a critical role in supporting field operations, maintaining project schedules, and driving overall company success.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

• Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse and yard operation.
• Ensure materials are properly stored, labeled, and secured in designated locations.
• Receive, inspect, count, and verify all incoming deliveries for accuracy.
• Review packing slips and receiving documents, reporting and resolving discrepancies with the appropriate departments.
• Ensure inventory is accurately organized and readily available for project needs.
• Oversee the distribution of materials and equipment to active jobsites.

Logistics & Delivery Coordination

• Coordinate and schedule all vendor pickups, material deliveries, and jobsite transfers.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are properly loaded and prepared for next-day operations.
• Monitor delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive safely, accurately, and on time.
• Maintain fleet readiness by ensuring trucks are clean, organized, and equipped with all necessary loading and unloading tools.

Team Leadership & Safety

• Supervise, train, motivate, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Ensure employees safely operate forklifts, material handling equipment, and company vehicles.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards throughout warehouse and yard operations.

Facility & Yard Management

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the warehouse, yard, and surrounding property.
• Ensure materials and equipment are stored safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
• Monitor warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory management experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred

• Experience in the plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, or construction industry.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
• Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.

Schedule

This is a full-time position.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Additional Hours: Saturdays as required based on business needs.
