Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Full-Time Special Education Teacher Maplewood, NJ
Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time contract role in Maplewood, NJ. This opportunity is in a PreK school setting. Renewal opportunities may be offered based on performance while on contract.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
Valid New Jersey teaching certification in Special Education.
Must meet all state and local regulatory requirements.
Experience working with PreK students and early childhood special education strongly preferred.
Familiarity with IEP development, individualized instruction, and family collaboration is highly valued.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small group instruction to meet the unique needs of PreK students.
Support the academic, social, and developmental growth of students in alignment with their IEPs.
Adapt lessons and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental levels.
Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with families, general education staff, and related service providers.
Monitor, assess, and document student progress, and participate in IEP meetings.
