Experienced Property Manager needed to oversee the daily operations for Affordable Housing Community In downtown Jersey City. The ideal candidate is independent, dynamic and interested in providing exemplary services to our Residents. All of our staff are hands-on and involved in the success of the Community. We are looking for an experienced Candidate that has worked with Seniors and with HUD programs.
Overall responsibilities for the position include:
- Running the day to day operations of the Community.
- Supervising the leasing and marketing activities.
- Maintaining the compliance files and records.
- Managing Resident relations and operations.
- Active involvement in purchasing and budget preparation
- Works cooperatively with the Maintenance Staff to insure the highest level of professionalism.
- Make recommendations for physical repairs, replacements and/or improvements
- Those things which make a Community Exceptional
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to motivate staff across multiple levels
- Travel to site and regional staff meetings, as designated by management
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma / College degree a plus
- 3+ years or property management experience, affordable housing preferred
- Knowledge of HUD guidelines
- COS or similar
- Experience with HUD Secure Server preferred
- Knowledge of YARDI or similar property management software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
