Position Summary

Lincoln Electric Products Co. Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is available for an immediate start and offers an excellent growth opportunity for a candidate eager to contribute their expertise and drive impactful results.

It is a full-time, exempt position, and the candidate will report directly to the Engineering Group Leader.

Job Responsibilities:

· Utilize advanced software tools like AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to create detailed electrical schematics and control diagrams for switchgear systems.

· Develop comprehensive electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control diagrams to support production and streamline the manufacturing process.

· Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure that designs meet specifications and are optimized for manufacturability and reliability.

· Participate in the selection and specification of switchgear components, including circuit breakers, contactors, transformers, and other electrical components, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with relevant standards.

· Prepare detailed bills of materials (BOM) and wiring diagrams, ensuring accuracy and completeness to facilitate the manufacturing process.

· Work closely with mechanical engineers, technicians, and other team members to integrate electrical systems with mechanical components for cohesive functionality.

· Troubleshoot and resolve design and manufacturing issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

· Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in switchgear design and manufacturing, ensuring designs comply with ANSI, UL, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

· Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, updates, and revisions. Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks on designs to ensure precision and adherence to standards.

Skills, Requirements, and Specifications

· Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in the electrical distribution industry, including electrical switchgear experience.

· Familiarity with major brands in the industry (Schneider, ABB, Eaton)

· Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for electrical schematics and design.

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and problem-solving.

· Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in design work.

· Solid understanding of ANSI and UL standards relevant to switchgear.

Education: Bachelor or Masters Electrical Engineering Degree
