Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Hospital Reception Specialist in Middletown, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a healthcare location, you will welcome patients, visitors, and staff while helping to support a professional environment through access control, visitor management, and customer service. This stationary role blends communication, attention to detail, and technology use to help address security-related concerns. At Allied Universal, you will be part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Greet patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors, assist with access control processes, and help direct individuals to the appropriate departments or reception areas.
- Monitor lobby and entrance activity, verify identification and/or visitor credentials as required, and report unusual activity or concerns in a calm, professional manner.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations at the front desk with a calm, problem-solving approach, following site-specific protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate front desk logs, visitor records, and/or incident documentation while supporting communication between staff, guests, and Allied Universal personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Ability to meet hospital vaccination requirements is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
