Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with extensive experience in OpenShift , Java or Python API development , and VMware/virtualization technologies . This role is highly technical, with a primary focus on designing, building, and automating container platform environments for enterprise use. Candidates must have hands-on experience with OpenShift installation and administration , not just usage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement OpenShift clusters and CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation.

• Build and maintain APIs and automation tools using Java or Python .

• Manage virtualization infrastructure, primarily with VMware , to support private cloud operations.

• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to ensure high availability and scalability of the platform.

• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance across compute, storage, and networking layers.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code and configuration management best practices.

• Nice to Have:

  • Experience with KVM , Hyper-V , or other hypervisors.

  • Exposure to Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies.

  • Familiarity with container-based networking, virtualization orchestration, and security.

  Note:

  • This is a W2-only role – No C2C or third-party submissions will be considered.

  • Candidate must be local to or able to commute to Jersey City, NJ regularly.
