Patient Care Director

This role is designed for a dynamic leader who can bridge the gap between administrative strategy and frontline patient care. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety, mentoring nursing staff, and ensuring that departmental goals align with the highest standards of the Emergency Department (ED) environment.

What You’ll Do

• Strategic Oversight: Lead clinical practice standards and operational workflows within the department.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and evaluate a team of nursing professionals to ensure high engagement and retention.
• Performance Management: Drive goal-oriented outcomes related to patient satisfaction, safety protocols, and budgetary compliance.
• Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between executive leadership and clinical staff to streamline communication.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) .
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License .
• Clinical Experience: 1–3 years of relevant clinical practice, specifically with Emergency Department (ED) experience .
• Certifications: BLS required upon hire; ACLS required within 6 months of start date.
• Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and a proven track record of clear, professional communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field.
• Leadership Experience: 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
• Specialized Certification: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) designation.
• Drive: A high level of initiative with a demonstrated ability to lead teams through organizational change.
