Store Manager
- Assist management with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
- Supervise store personnel. Ensure the training, development, and performance of their staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce that achieves their career objectives.
- Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to their team to assure mutual understanding of desired results. Discipline when necessary.
- Recruit and recommend qualified employees for their team’s staff positions.
- Manage payroll. Approve all time-off requests for direct reports.
- Resolves internal or external barriers that prohibit successful goal achievement.
- Consults with leadership on the development of their team's strategy.
- Ensure an appropriate resolution of operational customer concerns in management’s absence.
- Ensure a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining store equipment in proper working order.
- Take inventory counts according to guidelines and assists management with maintaining proper stock levels through appropriate product ordering.
- Establishing and managing delivery schedules and night call rotations.
- Work with sales staff.
- Ensures employees comply with all established company policies and procedures.
- Assists management with achieving the store payroll and budget.
- Manages team by driving projects and tasks to completion through effective prioritization, work planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Understand and applies management principles concerning budgeting, personnel costs, and overtime expenses.
- Other duties can and will arise, and candidate should be prepared to take on these challenges openly.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must have job experience in the automotive industry and knowledge to manage a large retail or commercial location.
- Flexible schedule to cover store hours.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Strong work ethic, strong customer service skills, and a high level of professional integrity.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
