Bookkeeper

Job Title: Bookkeeper


Location: Little Egg Harbor, NJ


Type: Contract To Hire


Compensation: $25.00 / hr.


Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote


Hours: 40 hours a week | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday





Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Handle payroll and sales tax responsibilities; sales tax experience across all states is a plus
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for daily bookkeeping tasks
• Manage payroll processes, preferably with Gusto software, which is advantageous
• Work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Initially trained in the home office, then transition to a hybrid work environment with a separate office entrance

Bookkeeper Requirements:

• Experience with bank reconciliations
• Ability to work proficiently in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
• Sales tax experience in all states is a plus
• Payroll experience, especially with Gusto software, is a plus
• Capacity to work quickly and accurately under pressure
• Ability to train in the office before shifting to a hybrid work model
