Pediatric Nurse | RN | Home Care

Towne Kids
Howell, NJ

Summary:
Towne Kids was founded on one powerful belief: children with complex medical needs deserve to grow, heal, and thrive in the comfort of home surrounded by the people who love them most. We specialize in delivering high acuity, expert level pediatric care directly in the home setting. Our nurses care for medically fragile children with chronic conditions and acute illnesses, helping families avoid prolonged hospital stays and experience the stability, dignity, and warmth of home life.

At Towne Kids, we understand that behind every care plan is a family navigating daily emotional and logistical challenges. That's why we don't just provide skilled nursing; we provide peace of mind. Our RNs are carefully selected not only for their clinical experience, but for their compassion, patience, and genuine love for pediatric care. When you join Towne Kids, you're not just taking a case; you're becoming a part of a mission-driven team committed to:

  • Delivering exceptional, individualized pediatric care.
  • Supporting families with empathy and respect.
  • Creating consistency and stability for medially complex children.
  • Making a meaningful difference, one home at time.

If you're a nurse who values autonomy, meaningful one-on-one care, and the opportunity to build a relationship with patients and families, Towne Kids offers more than just a job, it offers a purpose.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care by monitoring patient conditions, recording vital signs, administering medications and treatments, carrying out physician orders, completing care interventions, and following established safety protocols and preventive measures.
  • Assess and document the child’s physical and emotional health status and report any changes to the nurse case manager or physician.
  • Collaborate with families and care teams on disease processes, medications, and care techniques as appropriate through the Case Manager.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency policies and state regulations.
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for the child.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Comply with agency policies, applicable laws, and nursing standards of practice.
  • Participate in mandatory orientation, competency validation, and training sessions.
  • Maintain infection control protocols and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety.
