Job Summary

We are looking for a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Biller to handle follow-up on Managed Care and Commercial insurance claim denials. This role focuses on reviewing denied claims, working directly with payers, and submitting corrections or appeals as needed. Billing is completed using PointClickCare (PCC) and Waystar. The ideal candidate can work independently in a remote environment and produce consistent, high-quality results. The candidate will also need to be able to work with a team and report to their supervisor and manager as part of the revenue cycle team. Prior healthcare insurance billing experience is required, and SNF experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review and follow up on denied and rejected claims for Managed Care and Commercial insurance
2. Identify the reason for claim denials and determine next steps for resolution
3. Submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals with required documentation
4. Contact insurance payers by phone or portal to obtain claim status and resolve issues
5. Track claim activity and document all follow-up clearly and accurately within our aging system and billing platforms
6. Monitor outstanding claims to prevent aging and timely filing issues
7. Communicate with internal teams when additional information or corrections are needed

Required Qualifications

1. Prior experience in healthcare insurance billing and follow-up
2. Experience working Managed Care and Commercial insurance claims
3. Ability to work insurance denials from initial review through resolution
4. Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
5. Ability to work independently in a remote environment and produce consistent, high-quality results
6. Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet follow-up deadlines
7. Reliable communication skills for working with insurance companies and internal teams
