Quality Inspector
ATS Scientific Products is expanding our team in Vineland, NJ and have immediate openings for a Quality Inspector. In this role, the right candidate will perform assigned quality assurance tasks including inspection of incoming, in process and final auditing. They will assure that project product and process requirements comply with the ISO9000 quality system standards This position reports directly to the Quality Manager.
Hours are Monday- Thursday on 1st Shift - 4/10s schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Visually inspects glassware, where defects may be difficult to see
- Assists the Quality Manager with data gathering part inspections, continuous improvement projects, corrective action follow ups and ISO9000 maintenance duties as assigned
- Performs receiving inspections, in process inspection and final inspection
- Must keep track of results and inform Quality Manager of findings
- Assures that inspection records test quality plans are complete and accurate
- Performs daily scheduled system quality process audits and specified 100 inspection of in process and final products
- Uses diverse measuring devices and equipment like calipers, micrometers, pin and fixture gages, among others to evaluate glassware quality compliance
- Interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications that are job related
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess adequate visual acuity with or without corrective lenses
- Prior experience working in a team oriented environment
- 2-5 years of glass experience preferred
- Appropriate hand and eye coordination

- Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
- Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
- Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
- Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
- Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
