We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Architecture and Applications group in the Sensor Mechanical Design Center. In this role, the selected candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams in the design, development, integration, and testing of antennas and antenna support equipment. This can include the support of technical data packages, design reviews, supplier engagement, and lab & test facility activities. An ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills as well as being mechanically inclined and interested in contributing to hands-on assignments with a team. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 1-2 years professional experience
Experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Proficiency with 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software such as Solidworks or Creo. Creo Preferred.
Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
Master's degree in mechanical engineering
HVAC, cabling, plumbing, or other facility trade familiarity
Structural / Thermal Analysis experience with ANSYS Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or compatible tool
Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
Familiarity with design for manufacturing
BOM and configuration management preferably using Windchill or compatible tool
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $135,961.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
