Job description

Machinery Services Co. is an electrical – mechanical contractor providing Installation, Service and Repair of a vast array of electronic, mechanical and control system instrumentation equipment in the Industrial, Municipal, and Transportation Sectors. A well established leader in the service industry; we are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing organization.

• Prepare cost estimates for Industrial, Municipal and Commercial projects.
• Conduct on-site evaluations as needed to determine project scope.
• Evaluate construction plans, blueprints and information gathered during on-site visits to analyze work plans and determine project scheduling.
• Maintain strong customer relationships providing highest quality service.
• Work as a team player in preparation bid and estimating documents.

Job Requirements:

• 4-years previous commercial, institutional, and industrial electrical estimating experience a plus.
• Familiarity with electrical equipment, materials and specifications.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints. (Electrical & Mechanical)
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Codes (NEC)
• Auto CAD knowledge a plus
• High energy individual that is self-motivated and committed to personal and professional success.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Experience with contract documents such as contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendum, specifications, and change orders.
• Work under the direct supervision of the management team.
• Experience performing complex design/build and conceptual estimating.
• MS Office and scheduling software programs.
