Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Food Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, dishwashers, mixers, and more. You will diagnose issues, perform hands-on repairs, and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently according to manufacturer standards and health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment at client sites.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and gas-related equipment issues.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
Communicate clearly with clients regarding service work, necessary repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, parts used, and work performed.
Adhere to all safety protocols and health codes while working on food service equipment.
Keep company-provided vehicle, tools, and parts inventory organized and in working order.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
2+ years of experience servicing commercial food service equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with major equipment brands
Experience with both gas and electric cooking equipment.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and multimeter is a MUST
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple service calls per day.
