Description:
Premise Health is dedicated to helping individuals achieve and maintain optimal well-being. The organization is currently seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to provide coverage at onsite Health Centers located in New Brunswick, NJ and Titusville, NJ. This position primarily supports scheduled PTO, CME coverage, and occasional unscheduled absences. Clinic operations run Monday through Thursday, with no Friday shifts and no major holidays, offering an excellent work-life balance.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and adjust individualized plans of care to support patient recovery and functional improvement.
- Design and implement therapy programs that may include flexibility and range-of-motion exercises, strength-building routines, balance and coordination training, core stability work, posture correction, manual therapy techniques, and therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/ice treatments.
- Create comprehensive and easy-to-follow Home Exercise Programs (HEP) tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Ensure therapy activities are appropriate and contribute to measurable reductions in pain and improvements in function within a reasonable timeframe.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with patients to enhance engagement, satisfaction, and compliance.
- Deliver presentations or discussions on health-related topics within your professional scope to individuals or small groups.
- Collaborate with the wellness director to identify individuals who may require additional support and refer patients to relevant classes or programs.
- Provide therapeutic massage treatments as part of physical therapy services.
- Address patient concerns professionally and maintain clear, courteous communication.
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately within medical and departmental records.
- Adapt effectively to evolving workplace demands and contribute positively to team initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment at all times.
- Treat employees, clients, vendors, and candidates with respect and professionalism.
- Safeguard confidential company and patient information.
- Follow all safety protocols and immediately report any workplace incidents.
- Operate equipment only within trained competencies and ensure safe usage practices.
- Travel domestically by car or air as necessary for business purposes (up to 10%).
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and employee handbook guidelines.
What You’ll Bring:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active state-specific physical therapy license.
- Nationally recognized certification in exercise science, personal training, or a related discipline.
- Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques, CPT and ICD-9 coding, and patient documentation standards.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities with the capacity to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic health records, internet platforms, and mobile applications.
