Rectory Cook
Position Overview: Our Lady of the Mount Church is seeking a temporary part-time cook to shop, prepare, and serve nutritious and healthy meals for our pastor, priest-in-residence, and guests, as well as clean up after all meals. Duties include meal planning, cooking, grocery shopping, and maintaining a clean kitchen. The rectory cook works directly for the pastor. Prior cooking experience and reliability required. 4 days/week, maximum of 20 hours/week, $20/hour Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare meals four days per week
- Create balanced, nutritious menus
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences
- Grocery shop and manage food inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Occasionally prepare meals for parish meetings or small gatherings
- Prior rectory cooking experience preferred but experience in catering or similar hospitality environments welcomed
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Respect for the mission and values of the Catholic Church
- Reliable transportation for grocery shopping
- References required
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Schedule: 4 days per week
- Compensation: $20 per hour
