Description:

The Plant Maintenance Mechanic will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and focus on maintaining a smoothly running facility in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on position and will require a keen ability to navigate and fix state-of-the-art factory machinery. Work will be in a heavy industrial environment and the Mechanic must be comfortable working in conditions that may be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy. We are seeking a highly responsible individual that thrives in an autonomous workplace. The Mechanic will be supplied with specialized company tools while a personal toolbox is welcome.

• Maintaining a smoothly operating facility by locating problem sources, removing defective parts, and determining replacements for machinery and plants.
• Ensuring peak operation of machinery and mechanical equipment through a required familiarity with mechanics.
• Managing detailed maintenance records, recording work performed and parts used.

Maintaining the following facilities and equipment including:

• Our 9 interconnected buildings.
• Our 15 storage silos, including but not limited to fill lines, dust control/collection, aeration, level indicators, slide gates, screw conveyors.
• 2 large and 1 small dust collection system.
• Mechanical and electrical weighing systems including multiple scales and load cells.
• 8 ribbon and paddle blenders.
• 14 individual filling machines of various types (air, impellar, screw, and vibratory).
• Belt, roller, bucket, screw, and accumulator conveyers.
• 3 stretch wrap machines.
• 3 air compressors with regulators, oilers, and moisture separators.
• Blowers for material movement.
• Heat seal equipment.

Requirements :

• High school degree.
• At least 5 years of fast paced mechanical experience.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Possess adequate time management.
• Exceptional mechanical skills.
• Welding / Torching skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical – 12v, 24v, 120v, 240v, 480v – Safely.
• Proficient in carpentry and plumbing.
• Resourcefulness and adaptability to learn new equipment as we grow.
• Experience and confidence in maintaining the equipment efficiently.
• Willingness to work weekends depending on workload.

Salary :

• $29 - $33 an hour based on experience.
