POSITION SUMMARY:This role supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Pathways Program Coordinator is responsible for focusing on transforming lives and championing engagement efforts by developing, overseeing, and evaluating Association-wide efforts to support Boys & Young Men of Color. This will provide resources, remove barriers and act as an advocate for initiating change.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Exhibit quality of program success in accordance with our Mission Statement.
- Intentionally encourage a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing and determined to foster loyalty among BYMOC individuals.
- In collaboration with the Teen Director, and BYMOC Strategy, to oversee successful delivery Pathways to its participants.
- Evaluate achievement of program goals and objectives monthly with the Teen Director.
- Develop and maintain an active program schedule.
- Expand long-range vision, strategies, and goals for growth of service to potential participants.
- Lead collaborative efforts to develop and sustain high quality programs.
- Through innovative development (program and staff), positively impact the growth and overall service to BYMOC.
- Research and identify new trends for serving participants and/or partner with community agencies.
- Incorporate creative thinking and discussion from internal and external key stakeholders.
- Exhibit awareness and attention to the issues influencing participants.
- Develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
- Help with homework in all subjects, ensuring academic support is provided in alignment with educational goals.
- Exhibit all staff model equity, inclusion, cultural competence, and global awareness in all areas of work.
- Ensure staff understand and effectively communicate standards of program to the participants.
- Champion gender and cultural diversity while successfully implementing and monitoring programs.
- Attend required Abuse Risk Management training and adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising members and participants.
- Follow employee and volunteer screening requirements and use screening instruments to screen for abuse risk. Provide employees and volunteers with on-going supervision and training related to abuse risk.
- Provide employees and volunteers with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with consumers and require them to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.
- Respond quickly to policy and procedure violations using the Y’s disciplinary procedures and respond seriously and confidentially to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and follow mandated reporting requirements.
- Communicates to all employees and volunteers the Y’s commitment to protect our members from abuse.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must be 25 years old.
- Knowledge of Program Development and Collaboration Skills
- Associates and/or bachelor’s degree in related field with 5 years of experience in similar field
- Experience working with teens and leading programming.
- Strong Organization with Microsoft Office.
- Must have a CPR/AED and First Aid Certification OR get certified within 90 days of employment.
- Excellent written, visual communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in community, local and statewide initiatives.
- Flexible schedule to fit the needs of programming/traveling.
- Exhibits a collaborative spirit working with teens and their families.
- Reliable transportation is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting program equipment up to 50lbs.

HOURLY PAY RATE: $20.00- $22.00
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Occasional Saturday field trips (as needed)
