Location: Clifton, NJ (HQ) | Company: Aero Mfg Co Inc

The Challenge: Build the Bridge Between Steel and Skin

After 80 years of excellence in stainless steel fabrication, Aero Mfg Co is consolidating our Tennessee Millwork division to our New Jersey headquarters. We aren’t just moving equipment; we are building a premier Wood-Metal Integration Team from the ground up.

We are seeking a Working Shop Foreman —a master of "Hybrid Fabrication"—to design the shop flow, recruit the crew, and set the craftsmanship standards for our high-performance, tube-frame foodservice products.

Key Responsibilities

• The "Gold Standard" Builder: Act as the lead fabricator on the floor. You will personally execute the inaugural units, mounting architectural wood, laminate, and solid-surface skins onto precision-welded stainless-steel skeletons.
• Architect of Flow: Partner with the VP of Manufacturing to design the physical layout of the new millwork division. You will optimize the "Lean" movement of heavy frames from the welding bay through skinning, finishing, and QC.
• Team Building: Recruit, vet, and train a new local crew of "Hybrid Builders." You aren’t just hiring cabinet makers; you are building a team that masters the intersection of dissimilar materials.
• Zero-Tolerance Systems: Develop the "Hand-off" process. Ensure that when a steel frame hits your floor, every skin, hardware piece, and equipment cut-out fits with aerospace precision.
• Material Mastery: Direct the application of PLAM, marine-grade substrates, and advanced fastening systems (VHB, threaded inserts, stand-offs) required for rugged foodservice environments.

Who You Are

• Expert Craftsman: 5–10+ years in Architectural/Commercial Millwork (Stadiums, Hospitals, Universities). You understand that "residential grade" doesn't cut it here.
• Lead by Doing: You can out-build and out-troubleshoot anyone on the floor. You lead from the bench, not a desk.
• Tube-Frame Savvy: You understand the unique physics of skinning metal—managing thermal expansion, weld-bead clearance, and ensuring flush seams on rigid frames.
• Quality Obsessed: You build to NSF-grade expectations . You know that in foodservice, "sanitary" is just as important as "aesthetic."
• Bilingual & Tech-Literate: Ability to communicate across a diverse shop floor and comfort with digital production tracking is a major plus.
