We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of our refrigerated food production facility. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in an industrial or food manufacturing environment. Objectives of this Role
Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies during scheduled shift Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities, as needed Assists with departmental and employee moves Hangs pictures and shelving, as needed Dismantles and installs furniture Transports goods or equipment as assigned Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager Responsible for all powered equipment, unscheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance Provides immediate assistance to automated production equipment, troubleshoot issues and Skills and Requirements
Must be mechanically inclined, with a safety-first mentality Must have a Can Do Attitude and be Self-starter as well as a team player Must be able to take direction as well as ownership of given tasks Understand and follow oral and written instructions Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks Ability to work effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools Must be able to utilize/view a PC and/or monitor Must be able to walk, bend, stand and reach for extended periods of time Must be comfortable and able to work at heights of 20 feet Must be able to work independently without direct supervision Able to work in a refrigerated environment most of the day Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Must be willing and able to work in a refrigerated environment (10-40) Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation. Working Conditions: Work is primarily conducted in the office and food production environment. This position may require night, holiday and/or weekend work.
