Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Falmouth, MA
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: 40 Hours/Week | Monday–Friday
Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM) | Rotating Weekends & Holidays
Pay Rate:
Local: $55/hr
Travel: $57/hr

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (Rehabilitation) to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have acute care experience and provide high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

• Independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS/VFSS) and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable functional goals.

• Reassess patient progress, modify treatment plans, provide patient and family education, and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation while participating in quality improvement, infection control, and departmental initiatives.

• Mentor new staff, provide guidance to rehabilitation aides and students, and participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

• Current Speech-Language Pathology license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

• Current CPR certification.

• Acute care experience required.

• Ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS/VFSS) required.

• FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) experience preferred.

• One to two years of experience treating swallowing disorders preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, organizational, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
