Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on state and local design standards in New Jersey, coordinating with contractors and clients, and developing comprehensive site design plans and studies. This is a 100% design-focused position, where you will assist with QA/QC design reviews and support project managers in various development and site design engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop site design plans and studies including grading, erosion control, stormwater management, and utility plans.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors and clients.
• Assist in QA/QC design reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers on a variety of development and site design engineering projects.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of land development experience.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Experience with grading, erosion control, stormwater management, and utility layout.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of land development experience in residential and commercial settings.
• EIT certification is preferred, but not required.
• Strong work ethic with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerville, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $50.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Somerville,NJ.
