Lead Civil Engineer

Lead Civil PE – Land Development (Central NJ)
A well-established and growing civil engineering firm in Central New Jersey is seeking a Lead Civil PE to take charge of land development site design projects and help drive the next phase of growth. This is a high-impact role offering leadership responsibility, client interaction, and a clear path for advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead site design and land development projects from concept through construction
- Oversee grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design
- Manage project teams, schedules, and budgets
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and agencies
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical work for quality and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with NJDEP and local regulations
Qualifications:
- PE license required (New Jersey preferred or ability to obtain)
- 8+ years of experience in civil/site design and land development
- Strong knowledge of local permitting and zoning processes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proven leadership and project management experience
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
