Position
Were looking for a Regional Merchandising Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys bringing products to life for customers through compelling displays and flawless implementation. In this role, youll travel to retail locations to ensure that our products are displayed at their best, priced accurately, and supported with eye-catching displays and promotions that influence customer choices. Your work will directly influence sales, customer experience, and brand visibility.

What Youll Do

• Showcase the Home Surplus brand, as well as our product brands: Design, execute and maintain engaging, on-brand product displays that communicate the Home Surplus brand promise, drive customer interest, and facilitate sales.
• Bring promotions to life: Set up promotional materials and signage so campaigns are executed flawlessly in-store.
• Be the go-to partner: Build strong relationships with store managers and act as the key contact for merchandising updates, product launches, and showroom resets.
• Coordinate with vendors: Work with vendor partners to ensure timely delivery of samples, product information, and displays as needed.
• Share insights: Provide feedback on whats working, whats not, and where opportunities exist in our stores, while also scouting competitors for opportunities to take market share.
• Support supply chain and inventory management:
  • Provide real-world, market-specific information on competitive position and trends to ensure accurate forecasts, meet demand, and avoid shortages or overstocks.
  • Scout and analyze potential new lines for opportunities and set the table for negotiation.

• A strong communicator who can build relationships and collaborate with store teams, vendors, and colleagues.
• Highly organized with sharp attention to detail - you notice what others might miss.
• A designers eye:
  • Previous retail merchandising experience - you understand how to make products stand out through compelling displays.
  • Alternatively an interior designer who is also highly analytical could also be a compelling candidate for this position.
• A problem-solver who can think creatively, adapt quickly, and make decisions in a fast-moving environment.
• Comfortable with tools like Microsoft Office and eager to learn new systems 2020, NetSuite, etc.
• Must be able to travel regularly to retail locations. Reliable transportation is a must.
• Experience with margin analysis or other store / market based analysis is a plus.
