We are seeking a Lead Teacher who is ready to help build a unique micro-preschool program from the ground up, one that’s small in size but big in heart, spirit, and imagination.

We are a licensed childcare center offering a cozy, community-rooted environment with small class sizes (max 12 children). You will work alongside a dedicated assistant teacher, allowing for strong support, shared creativity, and meaningful connection with each child.

You are:

• A certified early childhood educator
• Passionate about nurturing the whole child—emotionally, socially, and cognitively
• Experienced in play-based, inquiry-based, child-centered curriculum
• Excited by the opportunity to help design and shape the program and curriculum
• A believer in the magic of pretend play, songs at circle time, and child-led questions like “Why does the moon follow us?”

  Your Role

• Co-create a welcoming, safe, and joyful classroom environment
• Collaborate to develop a magical, flexible, child-centered curriculum
• Observe, document, and support children’s development with warmth and intention
• Lead daily routines and rhythms including circle time, story time, hands-on activities, snack, and free play
• Model and guide positive behavior and social interactions with gentle, consistent classroom expectations
• Teach through play, inquiry, and guided activities, fostering early literacy, social-emotional skills, and curiosity
• Communicate thoughtfully with families and contribute to our community culture
• Lead with empathy, positivity, flexibility, and a deep respect for each child’s unique voice
• Ensure the health and safety of all children in your care and meet state licensing requirements, including CARI, fingerprinting, and CPR/First Aid training

Position Details

Part-Time: 2 days/week (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, starting at $25/hour

Start Date: January 2026
