Converting Machinery Specialist

Schedule & Earnings:

• Begin at $24 per hour or higher, contingent on expertise, plus an added bonus of $1 per hour for 3rd shift work.
• Work Hours: 11 pm to 7 am on the 3rd shift, with training occurring during 1st shift hours of 7 am to 3 pm.
• Flexibility: Monday to Friday standard, with needed availability Saturdays based on workload.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently configure and fine-tune converting machinery for optimal, safe operations.
• Execute machine setup, address troubleshooting, accommodate changeovers, and perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist in training efforts and be prepared for additional shifts or roles as necessary.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure adherence to product standards, minimizing wastefulness.
• Strictly follow all safety guidelines and regulations.
• Perform any additional tasks and roles as delineated by management.

Candidate Specifications:

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Minimum of five years direct experience with envelope processing machinery.
• Strong mechanical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Capacity for basic mathematical functions, ruler reading, and basic computer literacy.
• Must demonstrate versatility in handling various machines.

Conditions & Environment:

• Involves consistent physical activities such as standing, walking, and lifting.
• Lifting of up to 55 pounds is routine, generally with assistance available.
• Regular exposure to machinery, noise, and potentially hazardous materials like inks and solvents.
• Alertness to efficiently manage equipment in varying temperature settings is necessary.
• A capability to work efficiently in a standing position for the full shift period is essential.
