Frontend Software Engineer III, REACT
Job Description
Bring your Front End Software Engineering skills to the next level where you will work with state-of-the-art technology and will collaborate closely with Applied AI engineering. In this role you will be creating and executing complex, scalable technology products, influencing significant business outcomes, promoting innovation, and leading cross-functional teams to success.
As a Software Engineer III on the Fusion Team, you’ll be a seasoned member of an agile team, designing and delivering trusted, market leading technology products with security, stability, and scalability at the core. You’ll help drive critical solutions across multiple technical areas that support the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead front‑end design, development, and troubleshooting for React and TypeScript applications; break down complex UI and interaction challenges into scalable solutions.
- Write secure, high‑quality production code using modern React patterns and solid automated testing.
- Produce front‑end architecture and design artifacts; emphasize component architecture, micro‑frontends/module federation, accessibility, and performance aligned to Core Web Vitals.
- Proactively improve code hygiene and front‑end architecture for reliability and operability at scale.
- Contribute to engineering communities of practice; mentor teammates and lead technical reviews.
- Foster a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
- Build AI‑enhanced and agentic experiences: integrate LLMs via secure APIs; design prompt pipelines, function/tool calling, retrieval‑augmented flows; deliver real‑time streaming UIs with appropriate guardrails.
Collaborate with platform and backend teams on REST APIs, event streams, and WebSocket subscriptions; define caching, pagination, and error‑handling for low‑latency, resilient UX.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Extensive front‑end experience delivering mission‑critical UIs with deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
- Hands‑on experience in front‑end system design, application development, testing, and operational stability; strong understanding of agile practices, CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
- Proficiency across the UI stack: React, TypeScript, modern CSS approaches, state/query management, and automated testing.
- Knowledge of secure client integrations (authentication/authorization, CSP, XSS prevention, and secrets handling).
- Experience building AI‑powered features (LLM integrations, tool‑use workflows, streaming UX, and human‑in‑the‑loop review).
- Strong engineering fundamentals, clear communication, and solid documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Familiarity with modern front‑end tooling and ecosystems; accessibility best practices; experience with micro‑frontend patterns and module federation.
- Exposure to cloud‑hosted front ends and edge delivery; observability for web applications.
- Experience with AI and agentic frameworks and practices.
- Ability to partner with design and data science to translate model capabilities into trustworthy user experiences.
