Production Manager

Staff Management Group is seeking a Production Manager for our client in Wharton, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8AM - 4:30PM
• Monday - Friday
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $30 hour 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily assembly and sewing operations within a flag and banner manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing production workflow, warehouse, and shipping functions while ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and operational efficiency are consistently met. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and capable of managing teams while independently driving production performance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day production workflow and manage production staff
• Lead, support, and develop supervisory production personnel
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify training and development needs
• Ensure all products meet high-quality standards and customer expectations
• Become a subject matter expert in banner and flag assembly processes
• Maintain production rates and ensure deadlines are met consistently
• Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to resolve quality issues
• Identify and address production bottlenecks to improve efficiency
• Manage labor, materials, and scheduling to prevent shortages or delays
• Oversee maintenance and repair of production and sewing equipment
• Support warehouse and shipping operations as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operations.

Job Requirements:

• MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish.
• Experience working with sewing equipment, including maintenance and repair
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead teams and work independently to meet production goals
