Litigation Attorney-General Liability
Job Title: Litigation Attorney - General Liability/Toxic Torts/Product Liability
Location: Must be based out of on the following offices:
-Livingston, NJ (NJ license required)
-Buffalo, NY (NY license required)
-Syracuse, NY (NY license required)
Salary: $130k-$180k/yr DOE
Experience: At least 3-5 yrs of experience in General Liability, Product Liability, or Toxic Torts.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney specializing in General Liability to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload involving general liability claims, product liability, and toxic tort litigation. The attorney will represent clients in court, advise on legal rights, and develop strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Manage and oversee a caseload of general liability and product liability cases
- Represent clients in court during trials and hearings
- Research and analyze legal issues related to general liability and toxic tort
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to prepare cases for trial
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting general liability and litigation practices
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, specifically in general liability and product liability cases
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies
- Experience in toxic tort litigation is a plus
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
