Litigation Attorney-General Liability

Job Title: Litigation Attorney - General Liability/Toxic Torts/Product Liability

Location: Must be based out of on the following offices:

-Livingston, NJ (NJ license required)

-Buffalo, NY (NY license required)

-Syracuse, NY (NY license required)

Salary: $130k-$180k/yr DOE

Experience: At least 3-5 yrs of experience in General Liability, Product Liability, or Toxic Torts.

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney specializing in General Liability to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload involving general liability claims, product liability, and toxic tort litigation. The attorney will represent clients in court, advise on legal rights, and develop strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a caseload of general liability and product liability cases
• Represent clients in court during trials and hearings
• Research and analyze legal issues related to general liability and toxic tort
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to prepare cases for trial
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting general liability and litigation practices

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, specifically in general liability and product liability cases
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies
• Experience in toxic tort litigation is a plus
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
