Spur Staffing is looking for dedicated RN’s (Registered Nurse) substitute for the Weehawken Township School District, New Jersey, committed to providing a positive, supportive, and comforting environment. Spur Staffing are seeking dynamic professionals with a desire to help, support, assess, and invoke positive change in the lives of students and their families through a rewarding position as an RN for Elementary through High School Aged Students.

This position will provide RN nursing services to students in a school-based setting in an on-call basis. Scheduling will differ between elementary, middle and high school locations. Must be able to work on an on-call basis.

Job Duties Include:

-Scheduling and/or conducting health screenings and assessments

-Documenting and referring students with deficiencies in accordance with departmental regulations (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.)

-Establishing and maintaining contact with community agencies and clinics responsible for providing health care for students, and staying familiar with their policies and procedures

-Assisting in carrying out policies and procedures for control of communicable diseases

-Being available as a resource for health-related issues

-Assisting in training teachers, parents, and the community at large on the hazards of substance abuse

-Investigating individual health problems of all students, consulting with appropriate agencies for treatment, and submitting any required reports -

-Adhering to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations

-Performing other duties as assigned

Must Have/Be:

-Able to work on an on-call basis

-Friendly and approachable attitude

-Prior related experience working with children

-Punctual and professional

-Maintains a professional appearance

-Able to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs.

Requirements:

RN Certification (New Jersey)

New Jersey Criminal History Check

Daily Rate: $250.00 p/day

The Weehawken Township School District is made up of 3 schools:

Daniel Webster: Pre-K - 2nd Grades and Special Education

Theodore Roosevelt: 3rd - 6th Grades with Enhancements in Gifted and Talented Programs

Weehawken High School: 7th - 12th Grades with Advanced Placement Program, Dual Enrollment, Aviation Program and Study Abroad Programs.
