Medical Assistant Front Office
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for the Front Office to provide exceptional service in a bustling medical environment. You will be a vital part of our team, welcoming patients and ensuring their needs are met efficiently and compassionately. This role involves managing patient records using Medent as EMR, handling patient inquiries, and facilitating smooth office operations.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients as they arrive, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
- Manage the appointment calendar and schedule patient visits.
- Coordinate with medical staff availability.
- Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Address patient inquiries and verify patient insurance coverage.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary forms are completed.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Process insurance claims, create invoices, and manage patient billing.
- Provide patients with information on treatments, medications, and post-procedure care.
- Order and manage medical supplies and equipment.
- Work with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.
Essential Skills:
- Experience with EMR systems, particularly Medent and ModMed.
- Strong medical assisting and medical reception skills.
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a front office role.
- Ability to organize workload and prioritize tasks.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive, affirming attitude towards patients.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred.
- EMR experience is essential.
- Experience in a medical receptionist or front office role.
Work Environment:
The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a large network of 7 offices across New Jersey, providing a small group feel. The team is friendly and eager to teach, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. You will work Monday to Friday, with one weekend per quarter. Shifts start between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM, with 8-hour shifts. Weekend shifts are from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. You will also work one evening shift per week from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM once trained in Randolph. The role involves working primarily in Morristown and Randolph, with some duties in Hackettstown. The offices are very busy, handling 20-40 patients a day depending on the provider. Benefits include a 401K match, high PTO packages, and team bonding activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morristown, NJ.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
